Another concern
by lazuli ini know i know, i'm so sorry to bug you guys about this but for obvious reasons i can't talk about it with anyone from the congregation and you guys are familiar with the watchtower.
in the watchtower, the woman is expected to be 'chaste.
' so i'm worried that if i decide to marry someone that is a jw if what i did before will be a problem.

acWhy do you use the term "Apostate"?
by Trojan ini see that several of you use the term "apostate" or call themselves "apostates".
the problem i have with using the term is that you continue to follow wtbts thinking of "branding and labeling" people.
they charge that word with lots of negativity and label people that have different thoughts.

GB -> unprofessional
by DannyBloem inwhen i read some post on this board, they give me the feeling thet the gb are some crooked pure evil demons.
i do not believe this, for the following reasons:.
first of all i think that the issues that come out are actually few, if you compare it to the number of things printed, done etc.. like the un thing.

beards not a rule but!!!
by frogit inhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4666132.stm .
this caught my eyes and reminded me when as a ministerial servant that we had to go into the back room for instructions from the po (not very clever man), he tried his best to explain to us ms and elders about the wearing of beards in the congregation.
he must have gone on and on for 30 minutes about not having beards, but kept impressing that this was not a rule, but beards should not be worn, but its not a rule, just dont expect to have any privileges if you grow one on your face and wear it (sounds like you wear it like a tie he he) but we are not making it a rule, just dont wear a beard.

You Will Know By The Love They Have Among Themselves
by Corvin inthe organization of jehovah's witnesses boasts of having true brotherly love for one another.
i always believed they did, although i never felt it growing up in it.
i reckoned that there was something wrong with me since i never felt that "joy" and "spirit of love" that supposedly permeated the congregations.

Russia - Still King of the North
by proplog2 inwhen the berlin wall came down, even before the offical dissolution of the soviet union, the watchtower was quick to back away from the idea that russia was the king of the north.
nothing really changed.
true, there is an appearance of friendship and cooperation between russia and the us but russia is the one country that can totally destroy the usa.
